Aces Anticipate Lions' Challenge
Another stern test awaits Belle Vue on Friday, April 21, when the rebooted Leicester Lions journey north up the M1 to Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium for the first time this year.
Despite this setback, Worrall has emphasised that the loss of one rider will not affect the palpable dynamic of his team and insists they have all the firepower they need to tackle the Lions.
He said: “Without sounding overconfident, I believe that, at home, we can perform as effectively against Leicester as we’ve done Poole and Wolverhampton and come out with a win to our name.
“Not having Kenneth with us is a setback but one rider doesn't make a team. To reach the top of the table has taken all of our efforts and if we want to stay there, we need to work together.
“Leicester have made a great start to their season, maybe not as strongly as we have but they are far from the club we’re so used to seeing at the bottom of the table; quite the opposite in fact.
“They will be targeting a big result against us, while we are aiming not only to defend our spotless home record but also to extend our lead at the top of the table. It should be a fantastic meeting!”
Tickets are available online via the club’s website, www.bellevueaces.co (same price as race day), and the stadium box office will be open from 6:00pm on race night for ticket sales.
