Premiership Powerhouses Set To Clash

A blockbuster night of speedway is coming to Manchester on Monday night when reigning Premiership Champions the Wolverhampton Wolves head for the National Speedway Stadium.
In the wake of Saturday’s epic British Speedway GP battle, this clash of the titans at the home of Manchester’s Belle Vue Aces brings together some of the finest talent in global speedway.

World No.4 Fredrik Lindgren heads up the opponents while British Champion, Craig Cook, commands the home side in this top of the table clash between the league’s top two teams.
A mere four points separates the four play-off contenders at this stage in the season, with just a single solitary point between the Rentruck Aces and their on-form rivals from the Midlands.
A few changes to the Parrys International Wolves’ line-up sees Ben Barker guest at No.2 for Kyle Howarth following a huge crash last week at Monmore Green in which he sustained a concussion.
The visitors will also use the Rider Replacement facility at No.4 in place of Jacob Thorssell due to his prior commitments in Poland. The Belle Vue Aces meanwhile will boast a full-strength team.
Heat leader, Max Fricke, said: “This is a pretty big meeting for us. We had a bit of a blip in our last one, which unfortunately has allowed other teams to reduce the advantage we’d built in the table.
“That can’t happen again on Monday and with BT Sport there, there will be that expectation for us not only to win, but to win by a respectable margin on our home track.
“We have beaten Wolverhampton once this year and taken a point from Monmore Green, and while they are a good side looking to go top we can match them man for man at every turn.
“There’s no doubt it’s going to be an epic meeting. Wolves are after points as badly as we are. They’re a good side with some very talented riders. I honestly believe it’ll go down to the wire.”
Manchester’s the only place to be this Monday, July 24, thanks to a special BT Sport promotion, tickets for this table-topping clash are just £10 for Adults and Concessions in both stands.
