Dominant Aces Plunder Precious Points

Another emphatic win for Belle Vue over Poole ensures they maintain their rank as Premiership No.1 for the time being, with a busy week of racing still ahead with trips to Dorset and Somerset.
Heat leaders Max Fricke and Kenneth Bjerre shone for the Rentruck Aces, contributing two full 15-point maximums each to the 59-31 thumping of their top four rivals in Manchester.
The home team was heavily fancied before a wheel was even turned at the National Speedway Stadium but the Volvo Cars Pirates opened with valiant efforts to negate an early hammering.

Max Fricke & Rohan Tungate on their way to a 5-1
Progress for the visitors was quickly hampered however when a 5-1 in Heat 5 courtesy of the dynamic Aussie duo, Max Fricke and Rohan Tungate set the wheels in motion for Belle Vue.
With the catalyst released there was little that Poole could do to recover, and a hard move by Kenneth Bjerre to prevent a tactical sweep from Jack Holder dissolved any last gasp attempts.
Belle Vue captain, Craig Cook said: “One of my top priorities this year is to help make this team Premiership Champions. There’s no way I or any of the other boys want to come second again.
“We’re all focused on the job at hand. We gained another vital home win and three crucial league points to boot but we’re still not as comfortable in the top four as we’d like; things are so close.
“Poole has a lot of experienced riders in their team and to be honest, I was expecting a little more from them than what we got, but their current form is something we had to take full advantage of.
“It’s good for our confidence and really boosts the morale of the team to be performing so strongly, although I think things might be a little more challenging when we go to their place on Wednesday.”
It’s back on the road to Poole and Somerset this coming week, while next Saturday, August 5th, sees the Summer of Speed touch down at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium.
Featuring the sixth round of the British Youth Championships as its main event, tickets are just £5 for adults while accompanied children under 18 are free, available on the gate only from 6pm.
The event will conclude with a special forum where fans will get to hear from club CEO Adrian Smith and Director of Speedway Mark Lemon.
