Belle Vue Speedway celebrates its official 90th birthday on Saturday, July 28 and the club will stage a very special even to mark the occasion: The Summer Speed Saturday.
Featuring Round 5 of the British Youth Championship, there will also be special appearances from the epic Blast from the Past riders, Flat Track demonstrations, Static Displays and much more!
And the club is delighted to confirm that fan favourite Ricky Ashworth will be making his first ever visit to the National Speedway Stadium since the venue opened in early 2016.
He'll be bringing a very special collection of motorcycles, including the "Fastest Bike in British Speedway", the bike that, to this day, still holds the Sheffield track record of 59.1 seconds.
Also on display will be a replica flat track Yamaha machine restored by Ricky himself and is an exact copy of the bike ridden by American motor cycle legend Kenny Roberts.
Tickets are just £5 from the stadium (no online sales) with kids going free of charge. Gates open at 4:00pm with the first race set to commence at 6:00pm
