To The Tigers' Den

Belle Vue head to Mildenhall’s West Row Stadium on Saturday determined to cause upset for the league leaders after slipping to a narrow defeat at the National Speedway Stadium on Wednesday.

The Cool Running Colts remain second in the league ahead of the return fixture, trailing the Fen Tigers by 4 points, and are targeting a big performance as they look to return the compliment.

Skipper Jack Smith is back in action for the reigning champions after missing the home leg due to prior commitments with Swindon, meaning both sides will be at full-strength for this top-two clash.

Club No.5 Tom Perry said: “I think we surprised a lot of people on Wednesday, but more than that we proved to ourselves that we are able to hold our own against a team as strong as Mildenhall.

“I’ve no doubt it’ll be completely different kettle of fish at West Row. The Fen Tigers are strong at home, they’ve had a good few solid meetings recently and will want to put on a show for their fans.

“But we’ve taken a lot of positives from the home leg. We know we can match their strength and have the potential to be real spoilers and I believe this meeting will be as unpredictable as our last.”

The Rentruck Aces welcome British Champion Robert Lambert and returning GP star Niels-Kristian Iversen on Monday, August 6 when the King’s Lynn Stars journey to the National Speedway Stadium.

Tickets for this mouth-watering clash are now available online at www.bellevueaces.co and at the stadium box office on race night.
